Hirose has increased its compact FPC/FFC connector product portfolio to satisfy the needs of portable device manufacturers. The TF13 Series back flip FPC/FFC connector offers a small 0.4mm pitch, 0.9mm height, and 3mm mounting depth that reduces PCB mounting area demands.

The compact FPC connector is excellent for a broad range of portable electronic applications comprising consumer, medical, point-of-sale devices and more.

"Hirose's latest miniature FPC/FFC connector offers additional reliability in a smaller footprint. The front-access style back flip actuator that is closed before mating protects sensitive contacts during the shipping, handling, and manufacturing processes to ensure high reliability in portable electronic devices," said Bill Kysiak, product marketing manager for Hirose Electric USA.

The back flip style actuator satisfies the demands of portable electronic devices such as smart phones, cameras and video recorders, notebooks and tablets, DVD and Blu-ray players, portable music players, handheld gaming systems, and medical devices that experience shock and vibration.
