Automotive Ethernet common mode choke coil withstands high temperatures

Murata has released the DLW32MH201YK2 CMCC for automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1) applications. The choke coil can withstand extreme temperatures and is AEC-Q200 compliant.

The company's CMCC has a very extensive operating temperature range of -55C to +150C, which compares favourably to the -40C to +125C temperature range of conventional products, enabling it to be employed in harsh temperature environments. This enhanced performance has been accomplished by using metal termination that absorbs the stresses linked with temperature change, as well as by optimising the combination of the company's own original materials and product design. Furthermore, as the product’s form factor has been held to a small size of 1210-inch (3.2mm x 2.5mm), ECUs can be installed in a more extensive range of areas.

AEC-Q200 compliant, the 80V rated choke coil alleviates the job of the designer as virtually all components are now specified to be compliant with this standard.
