Power management IC optimised for low-voltage circuit breakers

Analog Devices ADP2450 Power Management IC is optimised for low-voltage circuit breakers, such as the moulded case circuit breaker, and current transformer-powered supply applications.

The device integrates four low offset, low power consumption amplifiers. The device's programmable gain features offer accuracy measurement over a broad current input range based on the CT turn ratio. A low offset operation amplifier is combined in the device for leakage current detection. The buck regulator works over an extensive input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V. The output voltage can be altered down to 0.6V. The buck regulator gives output currents of up to 500mA.

Typical applications include low voltage circuit breakers and CT-powered supplies.
