Discrete magnetics provide design flexibility for Ethernet interfaces

TE Connectivity's Discrete Magnetics for Industrial Ethernet gives design flexibility for Ethernet interfaces with optimisations for improved transmission characteristics and over-voltage demands. These products provide an extended -40C to 105C temperature range with 260C reflow ability, enabling customers/designers to employ them in higher ambient temperatures of industrial environments. The industrial discrete magnetics achieve better EMC shielding of sensitive cable-side signals by the metal shield with enhanced reliability and processability.

The new industrial discrete magnetics complement the current RJ45 Jacks with integrated magnetics and give a complete range of solutions for Ethernet connectivity.

Typical applications for these very cost-effective magnetic components include PLCs, IO modules, servo drives, industrial PCs, and any other industrial Ethernet connectivity requirements.
