Analog Devices ADuM7703 16-Bit Isolated Sigma-Delta ADC is intended to convert an analog input signal to a high-speed, single-bit data stream. Featuring an integrated LDO Regulator, the ADC offers high isolation between the analog input, a current sensing resistor or shunt, and the digital output. The output signal is then processed by a digital filter to produce an N-bit word. The device works from a 4.5V to 20V power supply range (VDD1) and accepts a pseudo differential input signal of ±250mV (±320mV full-scale). The pseudo differential input is perfectly suited to shunt voltage monitoring in high-voltage applications where galvanic isolation is needed.

The device is offered in an eight-lead, wide-body SOIC package, with an operating temperature range of -40C to +105C. This device is also offered in a 16-lead, wide-body SOIC with an extended operating temperature range of -40C to +125C.

The device is ideal for shunt current monitoring, AC motor controls, power and solar inverters, wind turbine inverters, and analog-to-digital and optoisolator replacement.
