Lane Electronics motorsport division has made an important addition to its connector accessories portfolio. These are high-performance heat shrink tubing products from HellermannTyton.

The SE28 Series is increasingly selected by designers across the motorsport, aerospace, defence and railway sectors and the company has them in stock in popular 2:1 sizes including 2.4, 3.2, 4.8 and 12.7. According to the company’s Peter Costin, the tubing is a direct replacement for DR-25 tubing which many customers are finding challenging to source.

The tubing is made from cross-linked elastomer and has an operating temperature range of -75C up to +150C making the tubing excellent for applications across many motorsport platforms. The tubing is qualified to VG95343T05D.

This heat shrink tubing is intended to protect cable and cable harnesses from mechanical damage such as abrasion. It also repels a broad spectrum of destructive fluids including diesel and aviation fuels as well as those found in hydraulic systems.
