Foremost Electronics now offers the new Icotec cable entry plate KEL-DPZ 16. The plate fits outbreaks standardised for 16-pin heavy-duty connectors. The hygienic design does not generate any niches which could collect contamination.

The new size 16 allows simple and fast cable entry. Up to 34 cables, with diameters from 1.5mm-16.2mm and can be inserted and double-sealed in a confined space. Cables without plugs can be swiftly and safely inserted into control cabinets and housings, with dual sealing according to IP65/IP66/UL type 12 and protection up to IP66 (certified according to DIN EN 60529: 2000-09). Certifications including as ECOLAB, EN 45545-2 HL3, EN45545-3 E45 / EI30, DNV-GL and others are standard.

Assembly with cables or pneumatic hoses is easy and fast. Making a small hole in the thin membrane enables cables to be pushed through, and the footprint of the plate matches precisely the cut-out dimensions of 16-pin standard industrial connectors.

Cables passing through the plate are automatically sealed and strain relieved. Any holes created in the membrane are no longer needed to be filled with icotek ST-B plugs to maintain the IP integrity of the entry plate.

Alan Vincent, sales director of Foremost, comments: “The new icotek KEL-DPZ 16 cable entry plates are a cost and time saving alternative to traditional cable glands is ideal for electronic and electromechanical systems and control panels installed in food preparation or storage locations and provides a flexible and reusable cable access point.”
