Mouser now offers the 9200 Series of NVMe SSDs from Micron. One of the first NVMe SSDs on the market with a capacity surpassing 10TB, the 9200 SSDs provide high capacity, fast speeds, and low latency for high-performance functions such as application and database acceleration, OLTP, high-frequency trading, and high-performance computing.

The SSDs blend the abilities of 3D NAND and NVMe technologies for enterprise storage. The devices are constructed on an innovative architecture that couples NVMe protocols on a PCIe connection to produce fast enterprise flash performance up to 10 times’ faster than SATA SSDs, plus 3D NAND high-density storage that preserves power and rack space. The SSDs provide sequential read/write transfer speeds up to 5.5 and 3.5GBytes per second, with random read/write transfer speeds up to 900K and 275K IOPS to turn data into information with low latency and high performance.

The device includes three endurance classes: 9200 PRO is intended for read-centric use at roughly one DWPD with capacities from 1.9TB to 7.6TB, while the 9200 MAX supports mixed-use workloads at about three DWPD in capacities from 1.6TB to 6.4TB. The 9200 ECO drives provide the highest capacities at 8TB or 11TB and are created for fewer than one DWPD.

The SSD family is created as the storage foundation for the Micron SolidScale platform, giving greater capacity for more efficient workload optimisation and decreasing total cost of ownership. With the 9200, SolidScale will be capable of over 250TB per node, scaling over 5PB per rack of one of the highest performance NVMe SSD available in shared storage today.
