Compact 2-MOPP DC-DC modules deliver up to 30W for patient-connected applications

Dengrove Electronic Components now the latest RECOM medical-certified DC-DC modules provides high power from a small outline and meet safety requirements for 2 MOPP at 250VAC. The REM15-W, REM20-W and REM30-W are 15W, 20W and 30W modules that benefit from a broad input-voltage ratio of 4:1 and high conversion efficiency that enables operation in ambient temperatures from -40C to 105C cooled only by natural convection. The modules have a compact footprint of 40.6mm x 25.4mm (1.6” x 1”) or 50.8mm x 25.4mm (2” x 1”) for the REM30-W, while internally offering 8mm creepage/clearance and 5kV reinforced isolation to satisfy medical safety standards. They are certified to IEC 60601-1 3rd Edition and, with only 2µA leakage, are compatible with all classes of patient contact up to CF for direct heart contact. With their small size, the modules are easily integrated into space-constrained situations, and a wide selection of output-voltage options improves flexibility. Modules are available with a single 5V, 12V, 15V or 24V output, or dual outputs of ±5V, ±12V or ±15V. Output power integrity is high, with tight voltage regulation, low output ripple, and zero-load operation. The outputs also feature short-circuit and overload protection. Single and dual-output variants are with a nominal input voltage of 24V0r 48V, giving a wide supply range of 9V-36V or 18-75V. REM15-W, REM20-W and REM30-W modules are certified to CB, IEC/EN and ANSI/AAMI standards including 62368-1, UL and CE marked, and are supplied with a manufacturer’s 5-year warranty. Attachments area
