New software allows PIM measurements enabling significant time and cost savings

Anritsu Corporation has PIM over CPRI software for its BTS Master MT8220T and MT822xB handheld base station analysers that allow PIM measurements to be made from the ground for the first time. By removing the requirement for network operator installation, maintenance crews and contractors to climb the tower to test for PIM, the new BTS Master-based solution is a much more cost and time-efficient tool for assuring optimal operation of wireless networks. The handheld base station analysers combine 30 analysers into one to meet virtually every measurement need at a base station. It includes 20MHz bandwidth modulation for high-quality testing; a vector signal generator with frequency coverage of 400MHz to 6GHz for comprehensive DAS and receiver testing, and sweep modes for reliable interference hunting and analysis. A convenient touch screen GUI allows measurements to be performed quickly and easily, even in bright sunlight.
