Infineon Technologies CIPOS Intelligent Power Modules (IPM), available now from Mouser, are a collection of highly integrated, compact power modules. The modules are intended to drive motors in applications like fans, pumps, home appliances, and general purpose drives. The family include the ultracompact Nano, cost-effective Micro and energy efficient mini IPMs. These IPMs are energy-efficient and combine the latest power semiconductor and control ICs technology like MOSFETs, advanced IGBTs, next-generation Gate Driver ICs and state-of-the-art thermo-mechanical technology. The modules achieve increased power density, enhanced system ruggedness and reliability. A wide selection of modules are available to simplify motor drive designs, lower component count, improve reliability and reduce time to market. Additionally available are MIPAQ Intelligent Power Modules, fully qualified and tested high power IPMs integrating gate drivers, IGBTs, sensors, a heat sink, digital control electronics and digital bus communication. The modules support nominal current ratings of up to 2400A and MIPAQ Pro is offered with liquid and air-cooled heat sinks.
