Sturdy, high-performance op-amp for high-voltage industrial applications

The Texas Instruments OPAx197-Q1 family (OPA197-Q1 and OPA2197-Q1) is part of a new generation of 36V, e-trim operational amplifiers. The family uses e-trim, a method of package-level trim for offset and offset temperature drift performed during the closing steps of manufacturing after the plastic moulding process. This method reduces the influence of inherent input transistor mismatch, as well as errors produced during package moulding. These devices offer exceptional DC precision and AC performance, including rail-to-rail input/output, low offset (±5µV, typical), low offset drift (±0.2µV/C, typical), and 10MHz bandwidth. Unique options such as differential input-voltage range to the supply rail, high output current (±65mA), high capacitive load drive of up to 1nF, and high slew rate (20V/µs) make the device a sturdy, high-performance operational amplifier for high-voltage industrial applications. This family of op-amps is available in standard packages and is specified from –40C to +125C.
