The XLamp XHP70.2 LEDs from Cree are now in stock at Mouser. These second-generation Extreme High Power (XHP) LEDs deliver up to 9% more lumens and 18% higher lumens-per-watt (LPW) than the first-generation XHP70 LEDs. The LEDs feature the same 7mm × 7mm footprint as the previous generation and provide an easy drop-in upgrade for customers with existing designs. The LEDs provide a wide viewing angle of 125 degrees and up to 58% higher lumen density than the closest LED of the same size, enabling smaller luminaires and better optical control for high-lumen lighting applications. In addition to light output and efficacy enhancements, the LEDs improve optical uniformity through secondary optics, enabling lighting manufacturers to deliver better lighting performance. LM-80 data for the LEDs is available immediately, which helps reduce the time required to receive ENERGY STAR and DesignLights Consortium qualifications. The LEDs are available in ANSI White and Cree’s two-step, three-step, and five-step EasyWhite correlated color temperatures ranging from 3000K to 5700K with high color rendering index ratings options. The LEDs are configurable to 6V/4800mA or 12V/2400mA and are binned at 85C.
