The Linear Technology LT8631HFE#PBF, available from Farnell element14, is a synchronous micro-power step down (buck) regulator with adjustable output in 20 pin TSSOP package. This current mode PWM DC-DC converter has internal synchronous switches. Low ripple burst mode operation enables high efficiency operation down to very low output currents while keeping output ripple below 10mVP-P. Resistor programmable frequency range from 100KHz to 1MHz and synchronization capability enable optimization between efficiency and external component size. The soft start feature controls ramp rate of output voltage by eliminating input current surge during start-up and also provides output tracking. A power good flag indicates when output voltage is within ±7.5% of regulated output. Undervoltage lockout can be programmed using the EN/UV pin and shutdown mode reduces total quiescent current to less than 5µA.
