Tumbler Technologies plus TRUMPower has launched a new addition to its AC/DC switching power supply line-up with the TWM360A series, which meets BF (Body Floating) rated output requirements. Ideal for medical applications, it is capable of delivering 360W of continuous output power at 20CFM forced air or 250W at convection cooling. Form factor is an open frame PCB in a low profile 4” (L) x 6” (W) x 1.18” (H) package. The series includes five single output models (12V, 24V, 28V, 48V, 54V), each with an earth leakage current measuring <100µA @ 264VAC, 63Hz and 2-3% output regulation. Output voltage is factory preset specifically to meet the user’s request. It is 90% efficient at full load, 230 VAC and features a power factor of >0.95 @ 115VAC, >0.9 @ 230VAC. The series can withstand voltage of 5,656VDC from input to output, 2,121VDC from input to ground, and 2,121VDC from output to ground. Units have remote control inhibit function and 2 x MOPP primary to secondary isolation, in addition to main output and standby power-on indicators. Standard output connector is a six-pole screw terminal block. For 24V and up output models, there is an optional output connector JST P/N B10P-VH-B (3.96mm pitch or equivalent). Operating at a 90VAC to 264VAC universal input, the series has 5V/0.5A maximum standby power, along with fan output power of 12V/0.3A maximum. The unit has no minimum load requirements and is equipped with short circuit, overvoltage, overload protections. It operates at 0C to +70C ambient with derating of 2.5%/C from +41C to +70C at convection; 2.5%/C from +51C to +70C, 1%/C from -20C to 0C at 20 CFM forced air cooling. Its 250,000 hours-minimum MTBF at full load at 25C ambient calculated per Telcordia SR-332 proves to be highly reliable. Operation altitude is up to 5,000m for the ITE grade version and 3,000m maximum for the medical grade unit. The device is approved to the latest medical standards. The power adapter complies with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 4th edition medical EMC and immunity standards. In addition, the power supply carries CE mark and complies with RoHS requirements.
