CAN and LIN shield kit for evaluating automotive applications

Mouser now stocks the CY8CKIT-026 CAN and LIN shield kit from Cypress Semiconductor. The kit helps engineers speed the design of applications that feature the CAN and LIN protocols, which are widely used in automotive, industrial, and automation applications. The kit enables designers to evaluate the CAN and LIN slave communication capabilities using any Arduino-compatible microcontroller-based kits that support the protocols. The kit features two CAN transceivers for high-accuracy, high-speed transmissions, two LIN transceivers, and Arduino Uno R3-compatible headers. This kit can be used with any of Cypress’s Pioneer kits such as the CY8CKIT-042 PSoC 4 kit, CY8CKIT-044 PSoC 4 M-Series kit, or FM4-176L-S6E2GM FM4 S6E2G-Series kit. The kit’s five example projects demonstrate the CAN and LIN capabilities of the company’s PSoC 4 programmable system-on-chip and allow designers create applications with the easy-to-use CAN and LIN slave components in their PSoC Creator IDE or by altering the code examples. The IDE simplifies system design and accelerates time-to-market by enabling concurrent hardware and firmware design.
