Now available from L2Tek, the Explore Microelectronics EP965E is a new 6G HDMI 2.0 transmitter that converts video input data from 1 to 8 lanes compressed LVDS (cLVDS) RX and audio input data in IIS, SPDIF, DSD or HBR formats into HDMI differential signals. Designed for professional AV and broadcast distribution and switching equipment operating over HDMI or DVI cables, the pre-programmed firmware driver for HDCP 1.4/2.2 and HDMI 1.4/2.0 reduces development time and time-to-market. To ensure PCB layout flexibility, the chip supports Reverse Ordering for HDMI TX differential data pins. Commenting, L2Tek director, Mark Scott-South, said: “Explore’s new HDMI 2.0 transmitter offers high performance, flexibility and outstanding value for developers of next-generation of pro AV switching and distribution products. As a company committed to delivering high quality, innovative and cost-effective broadcast components with fast delivery, we are pleased to add this line to our portfolio.”
