USB Switch IC integrates a SPST analog switch and an inverter analog switch

Rohm's BH6260MWX SPST USB switch IC is now available from Mouser. The device includes a single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch and an inverter analog switch in a single package. Analog SW0 and SW1 can pass a USB 2.0 high-speed signal while analog SW2 and SW3 pass a UART signal. With this, the range of the power-supply voltage is 'guaranteed' from 2.9V to 3.7V. The enable signals ENB0, ENB1, EN2, and EN3 can control analog SW0, SW1, SW2, and SW3. This allows the passing of the USB 2.0 high-speed signal without distortion because the analog switches SW0 and SW1 are low capacitance. There is also an electrostatic discharge protection circuit built into all terminals, says the company.
