Designed to provide intense optical power densities and replace arc and halogen lamps when traditional high-power LED arrays can't be used, Luminus Devices CBT-39-UV LEDs are now available from Mouser stock. The device emit photons uniformly over the entire LED chip surface, maximize light extraction and efficiency and allow for flexible optical designs. With a thermal resistance from junction to heat sink of 1.8C/W, the LEDs can be driven at higher current densities while maintaining a low junction temperature. This results in brighter solutions and longer lifetimes. Luminus big chip LEDs have very low failure rates and median lifetimes that typically exceed 10,000 hours. They are ready for even the most demanding applications which include areas such as 3D printing, fluorescence imaging, ink and adhesives spot curing, machine vision, and medical / scientific instrumentation.
