TT Electronics' WMHP Series heatsink-mount high-power resistors are now available from Farnell element14. They utilize non-inductive thick-film technology to ensure low thermal resistance making them suitable for high-frequency and fast-pulse use. They are available in TO-220 and TO-147 standard power packages, with power ratings from 20W to 100W. The parts offer high surge and frequency performance. Thick film technology across the entire ohmic value range gives consistent reliability under surge conditions, which reduces field failure costs. The strong surge and HF performance makes them ideal for fast switching power circuits in motor drive or power supply applications. With a wide value range from 50mohm to 10kohm, they cover low value current sense as well as general power resistor applications. The products offer precision to 1% and 50ppm/C and operating temperatures up to 175C, says the company.
