Latest from TRUMPower is the TWM280 Series of AC/DC switching power supply designed for medical and ITE applications. The compact 3 x 5 x 1.18-inch open-frame unit is capable of delivering 280W of continuous output power at 18CFM forced air or 210W with convection cooling. It has an active efficiency of >91% typically and features a power factor of 0.9 to 0.95. The power supply can withstand voltage of 5656VDC from input to output, 2121VDC from input to ground, and 2121VDC from output to ground. The series includes five standard models of single 12V, 24V, 28V, 48V, and 54V power supplies, with an earth leakage current typically measuring 100µA maximum at 264VAC. Operating at a 90 to 264VAC universal input, the TWM280 series comes with remote inhibit, +5V standby power and +12V fan output. Output connector options include screw terminal block, mini fit, and JST connectors. The units operate at 0C to +70C ambient with derating required from 100% at +51C linearly to 50% at +70C. Reliability comes from a 300,000 hours-minimum MTBF at full load at 25C ambient per Telcordia (Bellcore). The TWM280 series complies with RoHS requirements and EMC standards including EN55011, EN55022 & FCC Class B, EN 60601-1-2, EN 55024. It is approved to medical and ITE safety standards including UL/IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition and UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition. It is compliant to 2 MOPP and 1 MOOP protections.
