The moulded plastic insert includes location pins to snap into the PCB to retain it during wave-soldering. An optional shielding sheet can provide contact between the housing and the PCB while, also available is an O-ring that completes the seal between the housing and the contact insert. Protected to IP67 when mated, the Binder M12 range has a connector body made from nickel-plated brass, gold-plated contacts and a life in excess of 100 mating cycles. They are used extensively in types of control, automation, sensing and instrumentation equipment.
