Red Pitaya Gen 2 Pro Unveiled at Embedded World 2025

At Embedded World 2025, Electropages caught up with Red Pitaya to get an exclusive first look at the Generation 2 platform, including the new Gen 2 Pro board. Red Pitaya’s Technical Sales Manager shares major hardware upgrades including improved analog front-end filters, reduced signal noise, USB-C support, daisy-chaining, eMMC boot options, and a high-speed expansion connector with differential I/O. 

With three new variants – from entry-level to high-end Zynq 7020 FPGA – Red Pitaya’s next-gen platform is designed for engineers in laser labs, quantum computing, photonics, and radar development. 

The Red Pitaya team also introduced “Bob” – an AI assistant trained on their tech support database, now live on their site to help developers with coding and setup questions.
