Introducing the Compact and Robust VCCR300 Conduction Cooled Power Series

Vox Power Ltd proudly announces the launch of its VCCR300 Conduction Cooled Power Series, a groundbreaking addition to the world of DC/DC power supplies. This series is a testament to Vox Power's commitment to innovation in providing rugged, reliable, and highly efficient power solutions.

The VCCR300 Series stands out with its compact size, measuring only 7.43 x 4.6 inches and featuring an unrivaled 1-inch low profile. This design ensures easy integration in various orientations, offering system designers unparalleled flexibility and space-saving advantages.

Key Features:

  • Broad DC Input Voltage Range: Suitable for standard 48V, 72V, 96V, and 110V railway battery requirements, aligning with EN50155 standards.
  • High-Efficiency Design: Minimizes heat output, allowing a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, and up to +85°C for short durations.
  • Standard and Adjustable Output Voltages: Provides 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V outputs, each with a wide adjustment range of 90% to 125%.

David Carley, Vox Power’s Director of Global Business Development, expresses his excitement about the new product: "The VCCR300 series is engineered to deliver reliable power solutions in harsh and rugged environments. Its ability to adjust and customize trimmable voltages makes it a versatile choice for our customers. This power supply's broad input range is particularly suitable for markets moving towards higher bus voltages, such as battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), telecoms, roadside boxes, and 5G applications."

VCCR300 Series: Advanced Features and Customization

The VCCR300 Series is not just about power; it's about scalability and customization. Higher power solutions of 300 Watts, 600 Watts, 900 Watts, and beyond can be achieved through the onboard droop current share function. This feature allows users to scale their power requirements while evenly distributing the load across each 300W unit.

In terms of safety and reliability, the series includes internal fusing and a full power 10ms holdup as standard. Additionally, a remote shutdown signal can place the unit in a low power standby mode, and the input undervoltage level can be programmed to meet specific application needs.

The VCCR300 Series meets the latest railway standards (EN50155), MIL-STD-810G (Shock & Vibration), and is approved to the latest industrial safety standards (IEC/UL62368-1 3RD Edition). Its EMC emissions and immunity exceed the requirements of EN50121-3-2, EN55035, and EN55032 class B.

Enhancing reliability and performance, state-of-the-art conformal coating technology protects against environmental factors and provides additional mechanical support. With a calculated MTBF exceeding 2 million hours, the VCCR300 series promises long-term reliability in a ruggedized package, making it an ideal solution for demanding applications in rugged and high-vibration environments.
