Concurrent has launched Huey, its new three-slot rugged compute system engineered to deliver high-performance edge processing for land and air defence platforms.
Defence environments are evolving rapidly. From ground-based vehicles to airborne ISR pods, platforms are becoming more autonomous and sensor-rich, driving the need for compute-intensive systems that can keep pace with increasing data demands.
The compact 3U system supports digital and mixed-signal RF payloads, enabling integration of software-defined radios, RF front-ends, and digital acquisition systems for applications such as ISR radar and signals intelligence. Its ATR tray mounting aligns with industry standards, enabling rapid integration across multiple platform types while reducing certification efforts that are critical for airborne applications.
What sets the system apart is its external fan housing, which permits field maintenance without breaking internal environmental seals. This unique design enables wash-down capabilities, simplifies servicing, and reduces downtime, keeping critical missions on track even in the most extreme environments. It also supports a wide range of AC input power features, supporting 90-264VAC at 50-400Hz.
Engineered to meet MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704 qualifications, Huey offers:
"Huey was built to adapt, survive, and deliver where other systems fall short," said Michael Harden, VP Systems at Concurrent. "With its combination of modularity, ruggedness, and easy maintainability, Huey empowers defence teams to keep pace with fast-changing mission requirements while staying operational in the toughest conditions."
