SECO S.p.A. has launched its Developer Centre, a one-stop online portal that redefines how technical users access and navigate its hardware and software documentation. By providing a streamlined experience through a modern, centralised platform, the Developer Centre accelerates innovation and fosters an ecosystem where third parties can develop their own solutions on top of the company's technology building blocks.
The centre is yet another milestone in the company's Edge AI enablement strategy, joining the recently launched SECO Application Hub to supply a comprehensive, end-to-end journey for creating and deploying AI-based IoT solutions. The new portal is strategically designed to work in synergy with the Application Hub. Applications will be complemented by corresponding pages on the Developer Centre, providing detailed, step-by-step instructions for integration and deployment. This includes vital technical information such as data models, input/output specifications, and deployment methods, ensuring a seamless transition from discovery to implementation.
The centre provides a centralised repository of resources aimed at empowering companies' technical teams spanning Embedded Developers, System Integrators, Solution Architects, and Technical Decision-Makers, to accelerate time-to-market.
To enable rapid prototyping, it offers in-depth technical documentation for both hardware and software, including datasheets, BSPs, SDKs, and OS images, along with a wealth of 'Get Started' guides, tutorials, and resources for evaluation kits.
For faster testing, it also includes direct access to the Clea free trial, allowing users to try the company's comprehensive software framework within minutes.
Rooted in the company's industrial DNA, the Developer Centre provides critical lifecycle information, including PCNs, revision histories, and lifecycle policies, ensuring developers have the tools necessary for high-reliability applications.
"Our goal is to remove friction and empower developers to focus on creating value, not solving integration challenges," said Fausto Di Segni, head of IoT and AI at SECO. "The Developer Centre is a crucial step in this mission. It provides the tools and information our clients need in a transparent, open, and modern platform. By connecting the ready-to-use algorithms in our Application Hub with the deep technical documentation in the Developer Centre, we are offering a uniquely streamlined path for bringing sophisticated edge products to life."
