DIN-Rail DC-DC converters for energy and specialist applications

13-08-2025 | PULS Power | Power

PULS offers a wide range of efficient and reliable DC-DC converters which provide regulated DC output voltages of 12V, 24V or 48V from a wide range of DC inputs. An efficient DC-DC converter can do more than adjust voltages. It can contribute to system reliability and improve endurance in the event of voltage fluctuations. The compact design of these converters allows installation in standard decentralised on-machine cabinets and saves space on a DIN-rail, making room for extra control and monitoring products.

The DC-DC converters product ranges offered are:

  • DMENSION - Best-in-class DIN-Rail power supply units combining the highest performance and innovative features with a wide range of configurations and approvals.
  • MiniLine - Ultra-compact design for low-power applications.
  • SilverLine - The classic family of DIN-rail power supplies, which have been performing reliably since the mid-1990s.

As well as industrial, machine building and smart factories, versions are available for use in railway, medical, hazardous locations, marine, semiconductor and DeviceNet systems. DC power systems are also increasingly being used in datacentres employing a telecom standard 48VDC bus. DC system architecture is simpler than utilising an AC system and offers space savings.

Standard input voltage ranges of 12VDC, 24VDC, and 48VDC are supplemented by higher voltage options of 96-100VDC, 110-150VDC, 110-300VDC, and 600VDC, which are available for renewable energy applications. Output voltages are available from 5VDC to 56VDC with power levels from 100W to 500W over an operating temperature range of -40C to 70C, depending on model. A three-phase product is offered as well as a version with an integrated decoupling function.

All the company's converters feature a 'DC OK' signal and a range of connection options such as spring clamps, screw terminals, and plug connectors. Conformal coating may be specified for installation in harsh environments.
