Mouser Electronics, Inc. now stocks the QPA9822 linear 5G high-gain/high-drive amplifier from Qorvo. The device is engineered specifically for 32-node mMIMO systems found in wideband 5G, NR, and mobile infrastructure applications, with instantaneous signal bandwidths.
The linear 5G amplifier is designed to facilitate wideband 5G, NR, and instantaneous signal bandwidths of up to 530MHz, making it excellent for the N77 band critical for 5G deployment and other mMIMO applications. The device provides a 39dB gain at 3.5GHz and attains a peak power of +29dBm, currently the highest gain pre-driver in its class. The device is internally matched to 50Ω over the complete operating frequency band of 3.3GHz to 4.2GHz and includes a fast enable/disable function through the VEN pin.
The QPA9822 also provides external bias control capability for linearity optimisation, supporting up to 530MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. This delivers the highest gain available on the market for 5G pre-drivers and also provides a scalable solution for 32T and 64T radios. Housed in a compact 16-pin, 3mm x 3mm SMT package, the device is footprint and pin-compatible with the QPA9122M high-gain and high-linearity driver amplifier, allowing for easy integration into existing and new designs, as well as easy deployment in popular bands across all geographies for 5G mMIMO systems.
