- Rutronik is extending the Epson portfolio with the FC1610BN, a 32.768kHz quartz crystal. Compared to its predecessor, the FC1610AN, the energy-saving component has a lower ESR with a package size of only 1.6mm x 1mm. The component operates reliably in a temperature range from -40C to +105C. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, e.g. in IoT devices, MCUs for sub-clocks or wearables.
The components are housed in ceramic SMD packages and metal lid instead of glass lid and impress above all with their low ESR:
45kΩ typ. (at +25C)
60kΩ max. (at -40C to +85C)
70kΩ max. (at -40C to +105C)
They reliably tolerate operating temperatures from -40C to +105C and are currently the most power-efficient solution – excellent for ubiquitous applications, including radio modules and MCUs for sub-clocks or FA equipment.
Typical application examples include IoT devices, sleep clocks that require small size and low power consumption, MCU and radio modules for sub-clocks, clocks for wearable devices, and battery-powered applications.
