Advantech has released a new eBook that explores how intelligent bus technology is modernising public transportation across Europe. The eBook outlines how data-driven solutions and robust hardware platforms can assist operators, OEMs, and city planners in addressing operational efficiency, passenger experience and regulatory compliance.

As transport systems evolve to fulfil sustainability targets and rising passenger expectations, the eBook delivers a practical overview of the technologies enabling this transition from real-time fleet monitoring and predictive maintenance to in-vehicle connectivity and automation. Drawing on decades of hardware innovation, the guide explains how the company's rugged, future-ready computing and connectivity platforms support the modern Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).

The release of the eBook follows the company's recent membership in the ITxPT (Information Technology for Public Transport) Association, a European standard-setting body that promotes open IT specifications for public transport. This reinforces the company's commitment to interoperability and collaboration across the mobility ecosystem.

"Transport operators today are under pressure to cut costs, reduce emissions and offer a safer, more connected service," comments Stéphane Blanc, sales director Europe – Transportation Sector at Advantech. "This eBook outlines how intelligent hardware solutions, when paired with the right software, can address all of these demands while supporting smarter, more integrated mobility infrastructure".
