Renesas Electronics RRM12120 Digital BGA-POP Power Module, available now from Mouser, offers high efficiency in a small form factor for high current applications. The 20A, 12V single-channel digital PMBus step-down power module combines all needed power conversion silicon with the output inductor. The device's high efficiency and accurate output voltage (+/-0.7%) allow for best-in-class performance.

The device is supplied in a BGA package with a small footprint size of 10mm x 13mm x 5.9mm.

The device features a compliant controller plus SPS and user-accessible one-time-programmable memory slots. It has a wide VIN range of 4.75 to 15V with programmable output voltages (0.45V to 3.3V) and pin-selectable pre-programmed output voltages. The device delivers up to 94% efficiency. It also offers 'black box' fault capture and recording.

Typical application areas include server, telecommunications, storage, and data communications; industrial/ATE and networking equipment; and general purpose power for MCU, ASIC, FPGA, DSP, and memory.
