Company provides NUC business continuity

Impulse Embedded has assured its customers that Intel, who recently announced that they would be exiting the business of complete PC systems, including NUC mini-PCs and kits, is not necessarily a cause for concern. While Intel will be ending their 'direct investment' in NUC equipment, these powerful yet compact devices will still be available from Impulse, preserving the uncompromised quality and longevity customers have come to expect.

Well-known for their space-saving qualities, NUC devices provide high-performance Intel Core processors, capable of the same (if not even more powerful) capabilities as a PC tower but in a small form factor. Despite the small size, they can be employed for any conceivable computing function, from gaming to business and edge computing, without taking up excessive space.

Intel's official statement on the NUC states: "We have decided to stop direct investment in the Next Unit of Compute Business and pivot our strategy to enable our ecosystem partners to continue NUC innovation and growth. This decision will not impact the remainder of Intel's Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX) businesses. Furthermore, we are working with our partners and customers to ensure a smooth transition and fulfilment of all our current commitments – including ongoing support for NUC products currently in market."

As a distributor and integration partner of ASRock Industrial, the team at Impulse Embedded will continue to stock NUC boxes and motherboards as previously. ASRock Industrial's innovative industrial NUC products offer long lifecycle solutions with high-quality graphics, Ethernet connection and outstanding Intel processing power for a state-of-the-art computing experience.

Intel's announcement is far from the end of the NUC, and Impulse Embedded are committed to delivering cutting-edge industrial computing components and embedded systems manufactured by their dedicated partners. Also, they will continue to provide ongoing product lifetime support as standard for their entire NUC product range.
