The ISP2053 Dual-Core Bluetooth 5.2 module from Insight SiP complements the Rutronik Wireless portfolio. Measuring only 8mm x 8mm x 1mm, the particularly small LGA module builds on the nRF5340 chip from Nordic Semiconductor and provides powerful dual-core Cortex-M33 CPUs and flash and RAM memory. Incorporated with, among other things, an enhanced antenna, RF matching circuit as well as 32MHz and 32.768kHz crystals, the module is an excellent solution for medical, industrial or other complex IoT applications. The ISP series supports protocols such as BLE, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, ZigBee ANT, and NFC.

Despite its small form factor, the module has integrated decoupling capacitors, load capacitors, and DC-DC converters. Various digital and analog IOs, system peripherals, high-speed SPI, QSPI, USB, and reliable functionality at an operating temperature of -40C up to 105C complete the product.

Combined with the long range at a high data throughput of 2Mb/s, it enables maximum flexibility in sensor integration and audio and advanced IoT applications. The device currently provides the most advanced, fully certified 2.4GHz LE module series available.

Also, development tools tailored to the device are available, with complete hardware solutions for prototyping, testing, and programming. For this purpose, Insight SiP provides dedicated test boards with complete hardware and software environment, which also include test points for IOs as a stand-alone solution and can be combined with Nordic Development Kits and external J-Link programs.

The software platform is compatible with Nordic's nRF Connect SDK. That delivers a complete solution combining the Zephyr RTOS, protocol stacks, application examples, and hardware drivers.

The evaluation board ISP2053-AX-EB is appropriate for first tests and prototyping around the module. It comprises an interface board with an integrated J-Link OB JTAG/SWD emulator, the test board (ISP2053-AX-TB), and connection cables.

Target applications include LE audio, professional lighting, advanced wearables, Smart Home, asset tracking and RTLS.
