Teledyne FLIR offers its newest and most powerful Extech videoscope series, the Extech HDV700. This High-Performance Videoscope is the most versatile device in its class to support automotive, building inspection, manufacturing, plumbing, and HVAC personnel with unmatched camera probe options for inspecting hard-to-reach areas to find problems and begin repairs quickly.

With eight easily manoeuvrable, narrow, and waterproof (IP67) probes, experts can inspect without costly and time-consuming disassembly of air ducts, machines, pipes, and more, thanks to the diverse fixed and articulating probe options.

“Across condition monitoring use cases, technicians need to perform inspections in hard-to-reach and often dangerous spaces, whether that’s a vehicle, building envelope, or piping,” said Rob Milner, business development director, Teledyne FLIR. “With the new Extech HDV700, professionals have access to videoscope kits with clearer, brighter, and superior image quality from the wide field of view lens. Inspections are now made faster, safer, and more cost-efficient.”

Weighing just 705g, the device makes for comfortable, single-handed inspection through the functional colour capacitive touch screen while wearing utility gloves. Its image quality also improves inspection efficiency – the 1280 x 720 high-definition probe option and the wide FOV lens make for effective inspection in the most challenging locations. Adding to inspection ease, the side-by-side live on-screen comparison makes for fast and easy reference image checks throughout. If an inspector wonders whether a borehole is clean compared to their reference image, there is no second guessing with the split-screen feature. Additionally, the HDMI video output permits the live footage to be shared on a separate device for an extra inspector to monitor.

The device also offers multiple data recording options, making it simple to create reports anywhere by readily transferring imagery and videos to another device.

Each kit has an HDV700 Videoscope Screen; camera probe (model dependent on kit ordered); 32GB Micro SD card; USB-A to USB-C cable; HDMI Type A to Type D cable; Li-ion rechargeable battery (built-in); and universal adapter. Probe options comprise general purpose, dual view inspection, two-way 180-degree articulation, four-way 110-degree articulation, and pipe inspection options.
