Teledyne FLIR has introduced six new cameras to its Blackfly S GigE line. These include the BFS-PGE-80S5M/C-C featuring 8MP Sony IMX546: colour and mono; BFS-PGE-120S6M/C-C featuring 12.3MP Sony IMX545: colour and mono; and BFS-PGE-200S7M/C-C featuring 20MP Sony IMX541: colour and mono.

These models add to the company's wide range of GigE Vision-compliant cameras with an outstanding lineup of sensors, resolutions, and powerful on-camera features.

Employing Sony's Pregius S series sensors, they provide excellent low-light performance, with outstanding quantum efficiency and extremely low absolute sensitivity making them ideal for challenging applications such as microscopy, non-contact metrology, inspection, SLAM, 2D measurements and more.

The new devices offer 8MP to 20MP Sony Pregius S global shutter CMOS sensors providing frame rates up to 30fps with lossless compression. They provide high QE and low noise yield for low absolute sensitivity threshold and superior quantum efficiency delivering excellent low-light performance. Smaller BSI pixels enable less expensive, more compact optics, and the high sensitivity decreases lighting system needs.
