Mouser now offers the PIC32CM LE00, LS00, and LS600 (PIC32CM Lx) ultra-low-power microcontrollers from Microchip Technology. Providing 32-bit performance and ultra-low power consumption while supplying memory configurations up to 512KB of flash and 64KB of SRAM, the family offers three distinct product options for designers wishing to solve challenges in the IoT, consumer, industrial and medical markets.

The microcontrollers each provide a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M23 CPU running up to 48MHz. Based on picoPower technology, the devices offer fast wake-up times of 1.5μS and SleepWalking and Event System peripherals wholly supported by Microchip's power debugger and data visualiser tool. All three products include on-chip analog operational amplifier DACs and ADCs that can be operated in sleep modes and interfaced with various sensors. Other noteworthy features of the family comprise its superior capacitive touch capabilities, which deliver enhanced PTC, Driven Shield+ and the capacity for designers to add buttons, wheels, surfaces and sliders to smartwatches, headsets, fitness trackers and other peripherals.

Delivering the most robust security feature set in the device family, the PIC32CM LS60 is one of the industry's first MCUs to combine a secure subsystem and Arm TrustZone technology in a single package, enabling the CPU to be separated into 'secure' and 'non-secure' regions. The device integrates an enhanced peripheral touch controller with the Driven Shield+ element, stopping false touches due to moisture.

The PIC32CM LS00 provides similar security features, such as secure boot and Arm TrustZone technology, while the PIC32CM LE00 is a general-purpose microcontroller option with flexible package variations.
