COSEL Co, Ltd has expanded its medical power range, adding a 1500W version to its PJMA series. The new devices have a universal input range of 85VAC to 264VAC and comply with international safety standards. Developed for demanding medical applications, the series is ideal for BF applications and complies with 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (OUT/FG) safety requirements. Based on a robust platform, the design of the units has been optimised to provide an excellent price/performance ratio for medical applications needing a high-quality power solution. The series is offered in four output voltages of 12, 24, 36 and 48VDC.

Four single output voltages are offered as standard, 12V/125A, 24V/64A, 36V/42A, and 48V/32A. The output voltage can be altered by utilising the built-in potentiometer.

The series incorporates inrush current limiting circuitry, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, and thermal protection. Displaying versatility and robustness, the power supplies can be employed in an environmental temperature range of -20C to +70C. A derating could apply depending on the final equipment assembly style and cooling conditions.

The units are approved in accordance with ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd Edition. In emission tests, the series complies with the FCC-A, VCCI-A, CISPR32-A, EN55011-A and EN55032-A. To satisfy application-specific needs, several options are offered, including conformal coating (C), low leakage current (G), external potentiometer connector (V), remote control (R), and low-speed fan (F4).

For strength and longevity, the series is constructed in an enclosed, galvanised steel box with a fan mounted on the rear side. It measures 178mm x 61mm x 268mm [7.01" x 2.40" x 10.55"] (W x H x D) and weighs 3.5kg max. The series has a five-year warranty and conforms to the European RoHS, REACH and Low Voltage Directives.
