Powell Electronics now offers Amphenol’s latest range of high-power, high-voltage connectors developed for high-voltage and high-current systems in E-Flight, E-VTOL and hybrid applications. The devices profit from a partial discharge-free performance at an operating voltage of 2kV AC(RMS) at 35.000ft, making them excellent for applications including batteries, generators, motors and power distribution units. Raptor connectors are also perfect for termination of screened HV power cables in aerospace applications.

Based on the Amphenol Rhino series for ground power applications, but now re-engineered for aerospace applications and employing the new Talon contacts from the company, Raptor connectors are offered in shell sizes 15 to 25 and gain from many new features, including a very high-temperature capability of up to +200C, IP68 sealing, increased creepage and clearance distances, and an anti-decoupling ratchet mechanism on coupling ring and backshell, providing a reliable connection even under high vibrations. With superior EMC performance, electroless nickel plating and a high voltage insulation system, the connector series offers a reliable connection for high-power e-flight systems.
