Euroquartz has released a new range of miniature surface mount TCXO providing frequency stability from ±2.5ppm. The new EM211T series provides frequencies from 10MHz to 60MHz with CMOS outputs in a miniature 2mm x 1.36mm x 0.7mm SMD package. Standard output frequencies offered are 12, 20, 24, 25, 26, 40, 50 and 60MHz.

The new series of oscillators are excellent for use in an expansive range of applications where high accuracy is crucial. The miniature package makes these TCXOs particularly suited to embedded systems. With LVCMOS output into 15pF load, tolerances are offered from ±2.5ppm to ±10ppm over the industrial temperature range (-40C to +85C), frequency-dependent. Typical SSB phase noise at 25C ranges between -85dBc/Hz and -154dBc/Hz for 50MHz frequency output.

Frequency stability specifications are ±1ppm maximum against ageing in the first year, ±0.3ppm maximum against voltage change for ±5% change, ±0.3ppm maximum against load change for ±10% change and ±1ppm maximum against reflow (SMD type) for one reflow, measured after 24 hours.

The components are provided in a standard format six-pad 2mm x 1.36mm SMD ceramic package with hermetically sealed metal lid. Power supply voltage options are 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3V ±5%, with current consumption of 8mA maximum at 3.3V.

Further specifications include rise/fall time of 10ns maximum, duty cycle of 50% ±5% as standard and output enable/disable function as standard. Initial calibration tolerance is less than ±2ppm at 25C ±2C. The storage temperature range is -55C to +125C.
