Companies announce new resource site devoted to UAV design

Mouser and Vicor have partnered to construct a new resource site highlighting products, insights and strategies for designing UAVs. Designers and engineers can access the site for a comprehensive variety of assets.

The new content stream comprises a wealth of case studies, videos, and more to support next-generation UAV and drone designs. Among the resources is a video targeting Vicor power modules, which enable the rapid deployment of power delivery and DC-DC power conversion over a broad range of power levels and voltages for onboard systems and ground control. In a special Tech Chat from Mouser and All About Circuits, Vicor’s Tom Curatolo examines how modular power systems can assist UAV designers in maximising flight time, extending operational range, and resolving many other challenges.

The site also provides Powering Today’s Advanced UAVs, a recent eBook from Vicor that examines innovative PDNs and novel power modules that allow smaller power systems with optimal performance.

The company provides various Vicor solutions, including BCM6135 and BCM4414 BCM isolated fixed-ratio DC-DC bus converters and the MPRM28A VI Chip PRM switching voltage regulator.
