SiC JFET provides engineers with a high-performance solution

Mouser now stocks the UF3N170400B7S JFET from UnitedSiC (now Qorvo). The device is a high-performance, Gen 3 SiC normally-on JFET that supplies engineers with an excellent solution for overcurrent protection circuits, DC/AC inverters, motor drives, switch-mode power supplies, power factor correction modules, and induction heating applications.

The device is an ultra-fast-switching, temperature-independent JFET, providing ultra-low on-resistance (RDS(ON)) and gate charge (QG), together with low conduction and switching loss. This voltage-controlled device is ultra-efficient, with a low RDS(ON) of only 400mOhm at VGS = 0V, low intrinsic capacitance, and is excellent for current protection circuits with no need for active control or cascode operation.

The RoHS-compliant device is supplied in an industry-standard D2PAK-7L package, is halogen- and lead-free, and functions at an extended ‑55C to 175C temperature range.
