Global design contest inspiring technological innovation

Mouser is sponsoring the 20th 'Create the Future Design Contest', a global challenge to engineers and innovators to design the next great thing. The company, which has sponsored the contest for many years, is joined by valued manufacturers Intel and Analog Devices as co-sponsors. SAE Media Group produces the contest, and COMSOL is also a principal sponsor of the contest.

The contest is open for submissions until 1 July 2022. The grand prize winner receives worldwide recognition and a cash prize of $25,000 for an innovative product that aids society and the economy. Past contests have produced over 15,000 design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs and students in over 100 countries.

The contest gains attention for product designs that helps humanity, improve the quality of healthcare or provide sustainable solutions. Past grand prize-winning entries comprise self-destroying plastics, a self-contained device for organ and limb transport, and an economical, rapid screening device to stop food-borne illness.
