Space-saving high-performance relay minimises energy loss

22-02-2022 | Rutronik | Connectors, Switches & EMECH

The particularly low contact resistance of 5mOhm allows significantly lower heat generation within the OMRON G7EB, available now from Rutronik. Therefore, the temperature rises to only 40C at a carry current of 100A, which minimises the energy loss. The relay has a switching capacity of up to 100A at 800VAC and 100A at 60VDC. It is especially suitable for power distribution systems, UPS, EV chargers and inverters, and test and measurement equipment such as semiconductor testing.

The cool operation of the relay eradicates the necessity for extra heat sinks, enabling reduced overall system size. Ambient temperatures of up to 85C are no problem for the component's functionality.

The device is provided with dimensions of 40.5mm x 50.5mm x 37mm and is offered with both industry standard and OMRON specific pin layouts.
