Flow meters for medical and industrial applications

Mouser offers the complete SFM series of digital flow meters, including the SFM3003 and SFM3013 flow meters from Sensirion.

The SFM3003 and SFM3013 meters are versatile, bidirectional flow meters with a low-pressure drop, offering an extensive flow range of up to 300 standard litres per minute (SLM). These next-generation flow meters provide a digital I²C interface and patented CMOSens technology, which incorporates a thermal sensor element, signal processing, and digital calibration on a single microchip for fast signal processing.

The series offer further features for measuring flows of air, oxygen, and air/oxygen mixtures. These digital mass flow meters are founded on the SFM3003 solution but offer robustness to overpressure (up to 1bar gauge pressure) and are calibrated for air, oxygen, and air/oxygen mixtures. The series may also be calibrated for heliox gas mixtures.

Both meters are excellent for various medical and industrial applications, including ventilation, anaesthesia, inhalers, spectroscopy, and more. For development, Mouser also stocks the SEK-SFM3003 and SEK-SFM3013 evaluation kits, which work with the SEK-SensorBridge (sold separately) and provide a flow sensor, connector cable, and downloadable SEK-ControlCenter software.
