Bel Power Solutions has released the TET4000-48-069RAH, a 4000W power supply intended to produce the highest efficiency power conversion for data centres being constructed to OCP, ODCC or CORD standards. The device is the highest power 48VDC model in the company’s power supply portfolio, and one of very few 4000W 48VDC server power supplies offered as a standard product.

The adoption of 48V for data centre power distribution is quickening within the data centre ecosystem as it can improve PUE, lower TCO and boost computing density and rack utilisation. The new device is intended to offer peak efficiency of over 97.5%, classified as Titanium level, the highest efficiency classification for power supplies. These new 48V data centres and central offices are equipped with high-performance servers and supercomputers running scalable and distributed computing of large volumes of data.

Housed in a compact form factor (69mm x 40.5mm x 530mm), this device is programmable from 42VDC to 58VDC, with PFC. The unit also provides for a DC input voltage range of 240-380VDC, gives a power density of 44W/in3, and includes soft-switching resonant techniques in conjunction with synchronous rectification, offering increased system reliability and very high efficiency. Other features comprise an always-on +12V 60W standby output and a CAN communication interface for monitoring, control and firmware updates through a bootloader. This power supply satisfies international safety standards and displays the CE-Mark for the European LVD, with patents pending.
