ROHM has released a 24-model lineup of -40V/-60V withstand voltage P-channel MOSFETs available in single and dual configurations – ideal for industrial and consumer applications such as factory automation, robotics, and air conditioning systems.

The company developed low ON resistance -40V/-60V P-channel MOSFETs compatible with 24V input, using advanced 5th gen refined process. Based on its P-channel MOSFET structure, these new products use refined process technology to deliver the lowest ON resistance per unit area in their class. This translates to 62% lower ON resistance versus conventional products for -40V new products and 52% for the -60V new products. Simultaneously, quality is increased by optimising the device structure and employing a new design that mitigates electric field concentration. Subsequently, both high reliability and low ON resistance are achieved. These solutions add to stable long-term operation in industrial equipment, demanding exceptional quality.

The company continues to develop various packages for a broad range of applications, including products optimised for the automotive sector. As well as these 5th gen P-channel MOSFETs, to strengthen its lineup for 5G base stations and data centre servers, they are developing higher efficiency N-channel MOSFETs. These products add to diminishing application design load while increasing higher efficiency and reliability.

Typical application examples include power management switches and fan motors for industrial equipment, such as factory automation, robotics, and air conditioning systems; and power management switches and fan motors for large-scale consumer equipment.
