Mouser now stocks the new Sentrius IG60-BL654-LTE wireless IoT gateway from Laird Connectivity. Offering comprehensive connectivity capabilities, the gateway lets users capture data from Bluetooth 5-enabled sensors, augment the data with cloud-managed edge intelligence, and send it to the cloud through Wi-Fi 802.11ac Wave 2 with 2x2 MIMO or LTE wireless connectivity.

The gateway delivers efficient multi-band Cat 1 LTE connectivity with 3G/2G fallback, with needed SIM and LTE data allowance activated. The gateway is offered in two versions: one with integrated AWS IoT Greengrass and the other with a Linux build. The AWS IoT Greengrass version comprises managed IoT security services (such as a pre-configured sandbox) and deployment tools. This version enables users to deploy applications immediately over-the-air, and the AWS IoT core allows data to flow straight to the cloud. The Linux Build version is a long-term supported, open platform with the company's Linux Buildroot platform and hardware root of trust. This version is excellent for engineering organisations with embedded Linux experience that need multi-wireless connectivity.

The gateway is also offered as part of the IG60-BL654-LTE + BT510 IoT Starter Kit. The starter kit comprises the AWS version of the IG60-BL654-LTE gateway and three BT510 Bluetooth 5-enabled sensors. The kit allows users to test and develop proof-of-concept IoT solutions for temperature sensing, door open/close reporting, vibration sensing, and proximity sensing.

The gateway includes regulatory approvals for FCC (USA), IC (Canada), CE (Europe), MIC (Japan), and UL. LTE variants to date carry PTCRB, GCF and AT&T certifications. The gateway is perfect for applications such as IIoT, medical IoT, Bluetooth 5 sensor connectivity, and smart buildings.
