A compact, conduction-cooled, single-output power supply created particularly for medical systems applications has been released by Vox Power. The company has integrated the latest components and manufacturing techniques to precisely satisfy the needs of today’s demanding customer. With the new VCCS300M, the result is an extremely efficient (95%) and reliable (1.1FPMH) power supply that will fulfil many applications across the medical sector.

The device measures just 4" x 2" x 1.61" with power densities exceeding 23W/in3 and weighs only 310g. The device produces 300W of silent, fanless power and, where the application or environment needs, the company has also created these units to be cooled by convection or forced air.

Notably, power solutions of 300W, 600W, 900W and beyond can be attained by utilising the onboard droop current share function, which enables end-users to scale up or down depending on their power needs.

Applications are widespread and comprise respirators, ventilators, endoscopes, lab equipment, dental systems and all types of mobile applications.
