Molex FCT D-Sub connectors are ideal for a wide range of sectors including transportation, industrial, aviation and medical applications. The connector system from Molex, and available now from Heilind, is mainly utilised for signal transmission and high current applications up to 40A. It is also employed in communications, power distribution, control panels and test equipment in wire-to-board, wire-to-wire and board-to-board applications.

The product family includes connectors in standard, high-density and mixed-layout versions. Each series is provided in five different housing sizes. Molex provides all products (including THT, SMT and crimp versions) in different material and coating combinations. For example, housings in non-magnetic versions are constructed of brass or chemically nickel-plated.

The extensive range comprises backshells and accessory options to deliver effective solutions for a mixture of applications. If customers are unable to employ standard components in a specific application, both companies can modify the products accordingly.

Turned standard contacts are able to be loaded with higher currents. They offer a lower contact resistance and better durability compared with stamped contacts and provide a safe and reliable semi-permanent electrical path between two devices. D-Sub connectors with stamped contacts are also available.
