Simple and easy to use synchronous buck converter

Texas Instruments TPS563202 3A Synchronous Buck Converter, available now from Mouser, is a simple and easy to use converter in a SOT563 package. The device is optimised to function with minimum external component counts and also optimised to provide low standby current.

This SMPS device utilises D-CAP2 mode control delivering a fast transient response. It also supports both low-equivalent series resistance output capacitors such as speciality polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors with no external compensation components. The device functions in ECO mode, which sustains high efficiency throughout a light load operation.

The device is offered in a six-pin 1.6mm x 1.6mm SOT563 (DRL) package and specified from a –40C to 125C junction temperature.

Typical applications fields include digital TV power supplies, smart speakers, wired networking, digital set-top boxes, and surveillance.
